At LedgerX, we follow a usage-based pricing model designed to give businesses flexibility and control over their accounting software usage.
Instead of requiring customers to commit to a traditional monthly or annual paid subscription, LedgerX provides a free accounting entry allowance and allows customers to purchase additional usage capacity when required.
LedgerX is a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. All services and usage purchased through LedgerX are delivered digitally. As LedgerX does not sell physical products, physical product returns are not applicable.
This Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the terms applicable to payments, usage purchases, cancellations, and refunds made through the LedgerX platform.
LedgerX provides 3,000 accounting entries free every year to eligible customers, subject to the applicable LedgerX usage terms.
Customers can use this free allowance without making any payment.
As no payment is made for the free usage, no refund or cancellation is applicable to the free accounting entries provided by LedgerX.
Once the applicable free accounting-entry allowance has been exhausted, customers may purchase additional accounting entries according to their business requirements.
The current usage-based rate is: ₹0.25 per additional accounting entry.
For example:
LedgerX may offer different entry packs, usage options, or pricing plans from time to time.
Additional accounting entries purchased through LedgerX represent digital usage capacity for using the LedgerX software.
Once the payment is successfully completed and the purchased entries are credited or activated in the customer's LedgerX account, the purchased usage is considered digitally delivered.
Because the purchased usage is a digital service, it cannot be physically returned or exchanged.
Customers may cancel the purchase process at any time before completing the payment.
Once a payment has been successfully completed and the purchased accounting entries have been credited or activated in the customer's LedgerX account,
the purchase cannot ordinarily be cancelled.
Cancellation after successful purchase will therefore not normally be permitted, except where LedgerX determines that an exception is applicable under this policy.
Payments for successfully purchased additional accounting usage are generally non-refundable.
Refunds will not ordinarily be provided for:
If the customer's payment has been successfully deducted from their bank account, card, UPI account, or other payment method, but the corresponding purchased accounting entries have not been credited to their LedgerX account, the customer should contact LedgerX Support with the relevant payment details.
LedgerX will verify the transaction with the applicable payment gateway or payment service provider.
If the payment is confirmed as successful but the purchased usage was not delivered, LedgerX will take appropriate corrective action, which may include crediting the purchased entries or processing an eligible refund, as applicable.
If a payment is unsuccessful but the customer's account has been debited, the transaction will be verified with the relevant payment gateway, bank, card issuer, UPI provider, or other payment service provider.
If the payment is confirmed as unsuccessful and the amount has not been received by LedgerX, the reversal of the amount will generally be handled according to the applicable procedures of the payment gateway or financial institution.
If the payment is received by LedgerX but the purchased accounting entries are not credited, the transaction will be reviewed and appropriate action will be taken.
Any refund request that falls within the applicable refund conditions will be subject to verification.
Customers may be required to provide:
LedgerX reserves the right to approve or reject a refund request based on the circumstances and the terms of this policy.
Where a refund is approved, it will generally be processed to the original payment method used for the transaction, subject to the capabilities and procedures of the applicable payment gateway, bank, card issuer, UPI provider, or other payment service provider.
The time taken for the refunded amount to reflect in the customer's account may vary depending on the payment method and the respective financial institution or payment service provider.
Purchased accounting entries are intended to provide additional digital usage capacity within LedgerX.
Unused purchased entries are generally not eligible for a refund or cash conversion.
Customers cannot request a refund solely because they have not used, or have only partially used, the purchased accounting entries.
Any validity period or expiry applicable to purchased entries will be communicated through the applicable LedgerX pricing or purchase terms.
Applicable taxes, including GST where applicable, will be charged in accordance with the applicable pricing and tax requirements.
Any refund, where approved, will be processed subject to applicable tax, payment gateway, statutory, and financial processing requirements.
LedgerX may modify its pricing, usage rates, entry packs, free usage allowance, or other commercial terms from time to time.
The applicable price and usage details will be displayed to customers before they complete a purchase.
Changes to pricing or usage plans will not automatically create a right to a refund for purchases that have already been successfully completed.
In exceptional circumstances, LedgerX may review a refund or account adjustment at its discretion, including circumstances involving a verified technical error, duplicate payment, payment-processing issue, or failure to deliver purchased usage.
Any such exception will be considered based on the specific circumstances and does not establish an obligation to provide refunds in similar cases.
